Noam Magence
General Counsel
Back to NRP Leadership

Noam Magence joined The NRP Group in September 2016 as General Counsel and in 2020 was named Principal, Executive Vice President, and General Counsel.

Magence leads all legal functions at The NRP Group including corporate governance, real estate development, financing transactions, acquisitions, dispositions, litigation, and insurance and enterprise risk management for all NRP business units and geographies. He also serves on the NRP Investment Committee comprised of NRP functional leaders charged with the detailed evaluation, due diligence, and prioritization of deals to be considered for advancement to the NRP Executive Committee.

Since joining The NRP Group, Magence has built a robust legal department from the ground up, earning a reputation for creativity, customer service, and standout business acumen. In the first six months of his tenure, Magence played a pivotal role in helping the NRP leadership team structure a relationship with TriPost Capital Partners, a private equity firm that has brought tremendous value to NRP.

Prior to joining The NRP Group, Magence worked for seven years as in-house counsel for DDR Corp., a publicly traded real estate investment trust, where he was responsible for both transactions and corporate legal matters. While at DDR, he negotiated and closed several billion dollars in acquisitions, financings, dispositions, and joint ventures. Prior to DDR, he started his career as an associate in the real estate group at Thompson Hine LLP.

Magence earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Yeshiva University and a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He currently serves as President of the Board of the Joseph and Florence Mandel Jewish Day School, and on the Board of Trustees of the Jewish Education Center of Cleveland. He previously served on the board of Fuchs Mizrachi School and the Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity. He is also a member of the 2020 class of Cleveland Bridge Builders. Magence resides with his wife and three children in Beachwood, Ohio.
