Overall Purpose of Job

The overall purpose of this role is to provide support to a broad range of marketing activities that help the marketing team move quickly, create outputs that are high quality and high impact and help achieve the goals of The NRP Group.

Essential Functions Statement(s):

  • Marketing Coordination – The primary purpose of this job is to coordinate various aspects of activity within the NRP Marketing team:
  • Press Releases – Follow up on quotes and other information needed to complete press releases. Create information briefs to give the public relations agency direction on press release development. When needed write first draft of press release.
  • Events – Help with projects and activities related to event planning and execution. Events range from employee engagement activities to on-site property events to the NRP annual meeting.
  • Awards Submissions – Gathering information and materials to support industry award submissions for NRP and for individual NRP properties.
  • Projects - Assist on managing and executing projects.
  • Information Gathering – Provide assistance in gathering information to be used in websites and other marketing material and content.
  • Other – Stuff comes up!
  • Marketing Administration – Help with various aspects of department administrative activities:
  • Scheduling – Help with scheduling and coordinating meetings, conference calls, and team trips.
  • Expenses – Help with travel expense administration.
  • Content Development – There will be opportunities in this role based on demonstrated capability to help in the preparation of internal and external content such as press releases, awards submissions, web content, brochure content, presentations and other material.
  • Other Activities – Other activities as needed that may arise in the normal course of NRP marketing department activity.

 

Qualifications

SKILLS & ABILITIES

 

Role has high volume of projects and activity as well as continuous interaction with many different people both inside and outside of the company. Will be important to possess a very pleasant and energetic demeanor combined with high levels of tenacity, persistence and creative problem solving skills.

Background

  • Degree in marketing, journalism, English, digital media or related discipline
  • Very strong writing skills – on-site writing test may be part of application process
  • Marketing or related internships up to three years of experience
  • Looking for demonstrated marketing involvement combined with amazing ambition, desire and work ethic.
