NRP Investments LLC is currently seeking a Supplier Diversity Manager.  *Remote opportunity*


The NRP Group LLC is looking for a professional to join our team to help manage NRP Construction’s Supplier Diversity initiatives. This role will work cross-functionally with internal divisions of the company to implement and embed NRP’s Supplier Diversity strategy across the regions we serve.  The ideal candidate will collaborate with our pre-construction, construction management, and legal teams as well as other key stakeholders to maximize opportunities for minority and women-owned subcontractors and suppliers.  As a Supplier Diversity Manager for NRP, you will help lead NRP’s initiative that supports the development of qualified minority and women-owned businesses that align with NRP’s Core Values and its commitment to supplier diversity and inclusion.


Manage NRP’s supplier diversity initiatives with a particular focus on:


  • Increasing the inclusion and participation of minority and women-owned businesses across NRP’s portfolio; monitoring compliance of inclusion goals in each of the regions in which NRP operates; assisting otherwise qualified vendors and suppliers in obtaining their minority-owned certifications; participating in events, organizations and activities that provide NRP with opportunities to engage, identify and build strong relationships with diverse suppliers; and building and managing relationships with external organizations such as the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) and leveraging these relationships to support NRP’s supplier diversity goals. 
  • Serve as project manager, liaison, and leader for internal supplier diversity champions.
  • Assist management in developing annual goals for diverse supplier spend.
  • Work closely with preconstruction, project management and operations staff to incorporate NRP’s supplier diversity goals into the bidding and procurement process.
  • Manage reporting efforts associated with tracking NRP’s compliance with its supplier diversity goals.
  • Work with NRP management and learning and development staff to implement a supplier diversity training program to ensure that NRP’s staff is knowledgeable about supplier diversity principles and NRP’s supplier diversity strategies and that those supplier diversity principles and strategies are embedded in project specific best-practices.
  • Help NRP’s management and supplier diversity champions develop a formal coaching/mentoring program for minority and women owned suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Partner with internal business units to learn ongoing needs and find diverse solutions.
  • Help manage supplier diversity related communications, including internal and external portals for the Supplier Diversity Program, and be responsible for content and maintenance of these areas.
  • Work with NRP legal and development teams to review, interpret and develop strategies for complying with project specific supplier diversity requirements.
  • Create and update processes for discovering and securing diverse vendors.
  • Keep current on industry trends in supplier diversity.
  • Travel is expected at approximately 25%.

  • BA/BS degree in legal, business management, construction management, human resources management, labor relations or a related field of study or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ combined years of experience in a supplier diversity initiatives, supply chain management and compliance, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to trade shows, matchmaking events and other community-facing opportunities to interface with other diverse suppliers and contractors.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and other analytical tools/software and communication platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness and ability to network and build relationships with a diverse set of suppliers.
  • History of balancing multiple time-sensitive priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong cross functional relationships.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently.
  • Project management experience (ability to plan, organize, implement and deliver).
