The Building Technology Technician is responsible for supporting all technology needs for corporate offices, leasing offices, construction offices, and resident amenities spaces.  This support includes but is not limited to internet, local network, audio visual solutions, CCTV security, and access controls systems.  Technician may provide assistance in person, through email, or over the phone.  The technician will be required to utilize a service desk system for tracking of customer needs.

Essential Functions Statement(s):

  • Setup/Troubleshoot Computers & Peripherals.
  • Develop & Maintain Site Specific Documentation.
  • Develop & Maintain Training Documentation.
  • Improve Process & Procedures related to site setup and consistency.
  • Facilitates remediation of systems experiencing errors by either working directly with vendors or by monitoring the support initiative of external and/or internal resources.
  • Works with property management to assist in solving technical issues that relate to building systems (such as cable/internet, access control or security systems).
  • Travel expected at approximately 60%

Education:  An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in Computer Science, Business, Information Technology, or related discipline or in the absence of a degree, directly related job experience in technical support role (preferably on real estate industry), where a number of years and proven knowledge may offset the degree requirement.


Experience: 3 years of progressively responsible experience in an IT Support role preferably within the real estate industry.

Technical Skills:  Networking, Customer Service, Problem Solving


Driver’s License Required: Yes


Other Requirements: Must be willing to travel by car or plane to locations supported in the NRP Business footprint.
