Ken Weinberg started at NRP Construction in 2016 and has served in several important capacities culminating in his appointment as Vice President of Business Operations overseeing all business development activities for the fast-growing third-party general contracting business started by NRP in 2017.
Before his current role, Weinberg served two years as NRP Construction Vice President of Business Operations in a process development role where he led many national initiatives designed to increase the capacity, quality and scale of NRP Construction operations. In this role, Weinberg led the team that successfully selected, implemented and integrated Procore software into the NRP Construction technology platform. He helped develop and implement a very popular quarterly bonus program which has increased focus, accountability and the immediacy of feedback for construction team members throughout the NRP footprint. He also played a pivotal role in conceiving, developing and launching “Elevate U,” a continuing education curriculum designed to enhance management skills, soft skills, leadership acumen and overall business performance of team members at all levels of NRP Construction.
Before his stint as Vice President of Business Operations, Weinberg served three years as NRP Vice President of Construction for the Midwest Region. In this capacity, Weinberg delivered 11 multifamily developments that included a diverse mix of market-rate and affordable communities in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York and Indiana. He also helped to manage the construction and design of NRP’s Cleveland Headquarters in 2017.
Before coming to NRP, Weinberg spent 16 years at Marous Brothers Construction where he started as a Project Engineer and steadily progressed to the position of Director of Construction responsible for all construction projects at the company from groundbreaking to project completion. In this role, Weinberg directly managed or had oversight of 200 projects representing $500 million of investment in a wide breadth of sectors ranging from multifamily to commercial, retail, healthcare and others. He was also instrumental in the creation of the company’s Special Projects Group.
Weinberg lives with his wife and two sons in Cleveland, OH where he was born and raised.
