    NRP Investments LLC is currently seeking a Sr. Construction Business Development Manager.


    Under the direction of the Vice President of Business Operations Construction, the Sr. Construction Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying the right multi-family construction opportunities and building long-term relationships with the right prospects.  This role will be responsible for creating and executing on the multi-family business development strategy for an assigned region(s). This individual should have a proven success in the multifamily construction preconstruction environment.  The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be goal-oriented, and take a more organized and thoughtful approach to meeting customer needs and winning opportunities to work with them.

    Essential Functions Statements:

  • Seek out, establish and maintain new and current client relationships
  • Conduct due diligence on clients
  • Determine status of design, permitting and timing of potential projects
  • Active during the entire lifecycle of the project (planning, pre-construction, construction, post-construction)
  • Lead Creation and Evaluation

  • Research and create introductions between NRP and professional Multifamily Developers
  • Evaluate & qualify opportunities based on NRP guidelines
  • For existing or new relationships in the assigned region act as the main representation between NRP and Client
  • Lead NRP team thru the RFP Submission and/or Preconstruction Process
  • Coordination of different internal team members as needed.  Including but not limited to estimating, legal and executive staff
  • Work with the Estimating team to Assemble RFP’s, Budgets Proposals or other documents to share with client
    • Qualify bid documents from owner’s design consultants for completeness
  • Attend scheduled preconstruction/coordination meetings.  Providing feedback and coordination action items
    • Communicate owner decisions and expectations relating to design, specifications, schedule, phasing, etc. to estimating
  • Contract review, negotiation or collection of documents required for Preconstruction Agreements or main Contract
  • Drawing reviews, schedules or other coordination efforts
  • Construction Phase

  • Transition project from Preconstruction to Construction operations
    • Assist with the preparation of handoff documents
    • Join OAC’s or job walks as needed
  • Maintain relationship with client to assure need are being met.  Continuing relationship to help assure future opportunities
  • Qualifications


    Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management or Civil related field (Ex: Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology) preferred, or equivalent work experience

    Experience:  7+ years of experience in multifamily or wood frame construction projects with 3+ years specifically in business development or equivalent role.  Must have stable employment history and proven track record

    Technical Skills:  Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook. Knowledge of Timberline, Bluebeam, Adobe and Onscreen Takeoff software, a plus
