Come join the NRP Team as an Operations Project Manager in our Cleveland, OH office!

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Operations Project Manager will actively participate in the overall operational development of the Property Management Division. The Operations Project Manager is responsible for managing assigned projects and contributing to improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of departmental and organizational operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies.

Essential Functions Statement(s):

  • Play an integral role in all Property Management initiative roll outs. Responsible to manage assigned projects and rollout plans by setting clear expectations, monitoring and tracking progress and ensuring execution.

  • Work with all departments involved in new initiatives to identify, troubleshoot and resolve potential issues prior to “Go-Live” dates. 

  • Review all user manuals, training materials and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and ensure materials are in line with policies and procedures.  

  • Maintain contract management, associate housing, contest management, employee recognition, and other ongoing property management initiatives.

  • Provide input and suggestions on processes and policies in support of organizational goals. Report on variances to policies, regulations and procedures.

  • Execute policy changes in Property Management SOP and ensure updates are completed timely and are communicated to all Property Management Personnel and Departments. 

  • Analyze departmental data in relation to set performance benchmarks.  Report on operating performance through portfolio audits and inspections.

  • Complete site visits to conduct annual audits on operational systems in place and report findings to Operations Manager and Director of Operations. Ensure quality of product and performance from an operational level.

  • Provide efficient communication to the on-site communities and with the support services within the department such as Compliance, Property Management Systems, Marketing and Accounting.

  • Work with the operations department to improve effective and timely communication with corporate departments such as Human Resources, IT, Development, and other support services.

  • Provide superior and supportive customer service to internal and external customers within all levels of the organization and external client base.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of YieldStar, Online Leasing, Vendor Management, Yardi (Voyager, PayScan, Market Place, Rent Cafe and CRM), BlueMoon, Saferent, and NRPConnect. Act as a second tier support level to the Operations Manager.

  • Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity. Assist in departmental meetings, annual conferences, regional summits, and external educational conferences to enhance the operational goals of the division. 

  • Assist Compliance Team with updating RSP and Critical Docs Folders for all required properties.   


    Education:  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred but not required.

    Experience: 1 - 3 years of property management experience with market rate and affordable housing communities or related experience preferred.

    Technical Skills:  Experience with various property management software packages is preferred.
