NRP Investments LLC is currently seeking a HR Technology, Operations and Analytics Director. This will be a hybrid role with flexibility to work from our Cleveland office and remotely.

POSITION SUMMARY

The HR Technology, Operations and Analytics Director is an integral part of the HR leadership team reporting to the head of HR and managing a small team of professionals.  This role will be responsible for shaping the ongoing vision and strategy for HR technology, Analytics and Payroll Operations for the company.  With our recent Workday implementation, we’re seeking a trusted partner to provide functional and technical expertise for the Workday HCM platform including system configuration, integration design, and post-production support for all HCM modules (payroll, recruiting, benefits, time and absence, and advanced compensation). This individual will lead the way in helping us optimize our investment by staying up to date on the latest releases and functionality, evaluating current business processes and making/implementing recommendations for enhancements, developing our reporting capabilities, and serving as NRP’s HR system owner. 

Additional critical responsibilities will include identifying relevant metrics, creating reporting, translating analytics into meaningful insights and partnering with key internal stakeholders (HR Business Partners, HR COEs, Business Leaders) to leverage those insights to drive business outcomes. The HR Technology, Operations and Analytics Director will also provide oversight to our Payroll operations function.

Essential Functions / Core Responsibilities:

  • Plays a key role in the development of vision and strategy for the advancement and reinvigoration of HR technology, analytics and payroll operations functions

  • Serves as subject matter expert (SME) for all-things HR technology and analytics; leading system configuration, report development, data management, and providing superior customer service by ‘making it easy’ for both partners and leaders to collaborate effectively with your team

  • Establishes and oversees approach for ensuring manager and employee requests submitted via Workday Help function are addressed; responds and/or provides insight as needed

  • Serves as owner for HRIS system (Workday); manages relationships with vendors on new releases, functionality and day to day needs

  • Partners with internal IT department on strategic as well as tactical needs related to HR processes including payroll, incentive plans, terminations, etc. 

  • Researches and explores opportunity for self-service reporting for managers, makes recommendations as appropriate

  • Contributes a point of view on the value of leveraging data and analytics in driving business outcomes; challenges / influences leaders to utilize to make talent decisions

  • Identifies most critical metrics along the employee life cycle that will deliver tangible, measurable value to the organization – e.g., Recruiting, Performance Management, Learning, Career Development, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Turnover, etc.

  • Ensures data integrity by conducting regular audits of HCM related data (e.g., locations, job profiles, compensation, etc.)

  • Establishes cadence for standard reporting with Executive Team and senior leaders – e.g. content, frequency, analysis, user-friendly format, etc.; ensures sustainment of routine and provides guidance on leveraging data

  • Aggregates, synthesizes and presents data in a cohesive and succinct manner that includes high-level insights, conveys ‘the story’ and compels stakeholders to act

  • Partners with HR Team (Recruiting, L&D, HR Business Partners, etc.) to identify most critical metrics for their respective functions, develops plan for creating and distributing end-user reports and measuring results

  • Identifies new capabilities, functionality and process improvements for HRIS systems; lead efforts for associated rollouts including project planning and communications

  • In partnership with HR leadership team, identifies need and develops execution plan for change management approach to drive adoption and enablement of system updates, process changes, efficiencies, automation, etc.

  • Partners with Talent Acquisition and L&D to help identify and implement improvements that enhance the candidate experience, new hire onboarding, and continuous learning and career development opportunities for NRP associates.

  • Provides oversight and guidance to payroll team; offers ideas with complex challenges and suggestions for process improvements

  • Provides input to annual planning and budgeting processes for potential spend associated with system upgrades and other technical expenses

  • Stays up-to-date with trends in analytics, HR tools, HR and the technology industry; performs benchmarking

  • QUALIFICATIONS

    Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Analytics, Technology or related field required; Advanced degree preferred.

    Experience:  Minimum of seven (10) years of professional experience; at least five (5) years  working with HR Technology and Analytics; at least three (3) years providing Workday HCM system configuration enhancements; experience with Payroll preferred

    Technical Skills:  Experience with Workday platform; proficient with Microsoft Office, Superior Excel and PowerPoint skills a must. Workday HCM Certification preferred.
