NRP Investments, LLC is currently seeking a Manager of Community Engagement in the Cleveland, OH Office.


Position Summary:

Under the direction of the SVP of Marketing, The Manager of Community Engagement will be a passionate and organized leader who will develop and execute a clear strategy to more effectively engage the communities in which NRP builds affordable housing.The position will work externally to identify and build local nonprofit partnerships and internally to coordinate the role of resident services in the larger affordable housing development process. The position will be comfortable working across functions while collaborating with multiple stakeholders to improve processes, build systems, and improve information flow. The position will also work to connect external capital to the nonprofit organizations we partner with and the communities we serve.  



  • Overall leadership and responsibility for the all programs, including development and implementation of all appropriate policies and procedures.
  • In conjunction with the CEO and Developers across the country, maintain strong partnerships with community co-locators and other organizations and entities.
  • Minimum of 7+years of professional experience in nonprofit organizations, with specific experience in fundraising.
  • Demonstrated success in a development function or community organizing (managing and forging relationships with multiple community sources)
  • Tangible experience of having expanded and cultivated existing relationships over time
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; ability to influence and engage a wide range of key stake holders and build long-term relationships
  • Strong project management and performance measurement skills; detail-oriented with ability to oversee many projects from origin to execution.
  • Must be able to provide strategic leadership whileworking with all levels of stakeholders.
  • React to natural and other disasters that impact our residents and communities and recommend swift and effective responses.



  • BS/BA degree required.
  • Demonstrated interest in the affordable housing sector and programs to assist in the development of individuals within the community.
  • Experience in Low Income Housing Tax Credit funded projects.
  • Passionate about NRP Group’s mission and able to promote and communicate the philosophy, mission and values to external and internal stakeholders.
  • Empathetic, compassionate individual who gains significant personal satisfaction from helping people in challenging economic circumstances.
  • Strong relationship builder and communicator with experience engaging property management and community partners.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate with executive-level Board of Directors.
  • Energetic self-starter who can function effectively with minimal daily supervision.
  • Compassionate, attentive listener
  • Willingness to travel to property locations to assess needs and program/award impact.
