Jerel Klue joined The NRP Group in 2020 as Managing Director of Investments.

In this role, he oversees investments for the firm along with the asset management function and team, focusing on performance, valuation, dispositions and strategy for the national portfolio.  He also sits on the firm’s Investment Committee.

Prior to joining NRP, Klue was responsible for investment origination, execution and performance for Citymark Capital, an institutional fund management platform focused on joint venture equity multifamily investments in top U.S. markets. From the firm’s inception, Klue led the investment origination function. During his tenure, fund gross asset value topped a half-billion dollars, more than 3,300 units were acquired and all dispositions exceeded underwriting. He also served on the company’s Investment Committee and on the Board of Directors for the National Multifamily Housing Council. Before Citymark, Klue served as Principal and Managing Director for Signet where he was responsible for originating and executing real estate investments. He successfully executed investments totaling more than $300 million for the firm, its investors and joint venture partners.

Klue’s career spans both the public and private sectors, including work as District Director for a member of the United States Congress, Chief of Staff for a member of the New York City Council and serving as a consultant and analyst for several Fortune 500 firms. He was recognized by Crain’s Cleveland Business in 2012 as one of Northeast Ohio’s “Forty Under 40” business leaders and one of “30 for the Future” by the Greater Akron Chamber of Commerce in 2014.

Klue holds a master’s degree in American studies from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Bowling Green State University. He majored in finance and international business, which included coursework at the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Nantes Atlantique in France.
