Miki Welker is the Regional Vice President for NRP’s affordable portfolio in the Midwest/Southeast region that involves 62 communities with at least 3,600 units within North Carolina, Florida, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio.

Her responsibilities include the operations of the affordable assets, reporting directly to the Executive Vice President of NRP Property Management.

Miki has more than 18 years of experience in property management and became successful in identifying team development needs and watching trends to prepare for upcoming challenges. She remains committed and goal driven to her teams through an all-encompassing open-door policy, bringing all regional managers to the table to share ideas, concepts and ways to innovate NRP’s approach to the day-to-day site operations. She strives to foster an environment that accepts and respects everyone as individuals with differentiating opinions and points of view.

She joined the NRP Group in 2014 as a regional property manager and was promoted to senior regional property manager less than 3 years later. After receiving guidance and mentorship, she became the assistant regional vice president before her current position today. With NRP 10 lease-ups under her belt, she remains focused on continuing to develop in her hometown of Cleveland, Ohio and other states in desperate need of affordable housing.

Before joining NRP, Miki worked with Concord Management for 11 years where she started off as a leasing professional at an affordable property. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Northwood University and holds a real estate license in Michigan.
